Vinh Trang Pagoda

Pagoda is a beautiful Buddhist temple located in My Tho, Tien Giang province. This pagoda is one of the most famous and important historical and cultural landmarks in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. The temple has been attracting both local and foreign visitors for decades due to its unique architecture and spiritual significance. The Vinh Trang Pagoda was founded in the mid-19th century by a monk named Hue Dang. It is situated on a 2-hectare area and is surrounded by green trees and beautiful gardens. The architecture of the pagoda is a blend of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Cambodian styles, which makes it unique and captivating. The main building of the pagoda is a large sanctuary that is dedicated to the Buddha. The interior of the temple is beautifully decorated with colorful statues of the Buddha, as well as depictions of Buddhist legends and teachings. The roof of the temple is decorated with dragon-shaped ornaments, which is a common feature of traditional architecture.

To top it all off, we’ll take you to a floating fishing farm on the other side of the island, where you’ll get a chance to witness the vibrant local fishing community in action.

Tom was an excellent tour guide. He gave us a history lesson on the way to the tunnels and made visiting each tunnel so much fun. The tunnels themselves were very interesting and also quiet, there was only one other tour group at our time. Very interactive tour, you can climb through a lot of different tunnels to underground rooms. Maybe bring a pack of wet wipes if you can as my knees and hands got dirty (there is an area at the end to wash). Definitely pack mosquito spray!!!

Our trip to Vietnam had been very memorable and fun because of this tour. Thank you so much to Anh and the Joy Journeys team (especially our very awesome tour guide – Tri) for being very flexible and accommodating to our small group. We very much enjoyed the boat trip at the canal which we were told that was less traveled by tourists. It felt like we rented the whole area! So much peace and quiet. Our lunch was also very delicious and everyone we met along the way was so friendly. 100/10 will definitely recommend this activity to our family and friends visiting Vietnam. 🫰🏻

We spent a lovely day exploring the Mekong Delta with our guide, Logan. Logan was very informative, providing us with lots of information along the entire journey from Ho Chi Minh to Mekong and back again. It was lovely to see a glimpse into the lives of families living and relying on the Mekong for all that they have.

We had an excellent private tour with Harry. He was very passionate, kind and professional. We learned so much about Vietnam and Harry has left a lasting positive impression on us. He also snapped some amazing photos of us throughout the tour. I highly recommend Harry and booking this tour for an authentic and relaxed tour of the Mekong Delta. Thank you, Harry!
