The Cu Chi Tunnels, located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, were an extensive network of underground tunnels that served as a critical strategic location during the Vietnam War. Constructed over several years, the tunnels spanned more than 250 kilometers and were made up of multiple layers, including living quarters, kitchens, meeting rooms, hospitals, and even schools. The tunnels were dug by hand, using rudimentary tools such as shovels, hoes, and picks, and the workers would remove the soil from the tunnels and conceal it in nearby fields to avoid detection.
Navigating through the Cu Chi Tunnels was a complex task, requiring specialized knowledge and training. The tunnels were narrow, with a height of only a few feet, and were often filled with traps and obstacles, such as spike pits and hidden doors. The Viet Cong soldiers were trained to move silently and quickly through the tunnels, using their knowledge of the terrain to avoid detection. Then, we will drive to My Tho.

Local culture, history, great food, and a touch of rain with Huy The tour with Huy has been great. Maybe because of the season (September), the tour has delivered what promised, with hardly any encounter of tourists on the way. Interesting to meet local families making a living on local products like bricks, coconut, chocolate, and jute. Extremely interesting was meeting a man who has been directly involved in the Vietnam War (or American War). His family has been badly hit by the events, with two relatives killed. I was enchanted hearing his stories first-hand. The rain has added a touch of reality - aren't strong rainfalls at home in the delta? The food was tasty and genuine - very much required on a full day tour. Huy managed to keep a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere and was patience enough to answer tons of questions on today's life in Vietnam, and to be a translator with the locals.Posted on Tripadvisor

Marcus G1 September 2026Absolutely worth it Absolutely worth it Really immersive experience and one of the best ways to understand the history of the Cu Chi tunnels. The visit is a little fast, but you still get to hear a lot of stories and really feel the atmosphere of the place. The biggest highlight was our guide, Jack. He’s a teacher and historian, and his family history and own military experience made everything feel much more real and personal. The site can be busy, but our small group made the experience much better. Dafne N1 September 2026Best experience in Mekong Delta This has been my favourite tour from Ho Chi Minh City. The experience was truly amazing and you get all that's said. Kero was the best tour guide, so knowledgeable, dynamic and kind. He took very lovely pictures of us and gave enough time for each of the experiences. The only thing I could advise to the company it'd be to give more time on the boat ride beceuse it was the best part, truly lovely and calm, so I wish it lasted longer. Other than that, please don't miss out on this opportunity.
