The Cu Chi Tunnels, located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, were an extensive network of underground tunnels that served as a critical strategic location during the Vietnam War. Constructed over several years, the tunnels spanned more than 250 kilometers and were made up of multiple layers, including living quarters, kitchens, meeting rooms, hospitals, and even schools.
The tunnels were dug by hand, using rudimentary tools such as shovels, hoes, and picks, and the workers would remove the soil from the tunnels and conceal it in nearby fields to avoid detection. Navigating through the Cu Chi Tunnels was a complex task, requiring specialized knowledge and training. The tunnels were narrow, with a height of only a few feet, and were often filled with traps and obstacles, such as spike pits and hidden doors. The Viet Cong soldiers were trained to move silently and quickly through the tunnels, using their knowledge of the terrain to avoid detection.

Ben Dinh is more commercial and often overcrowded with big tour groups. Saigon Vibes chooses Ben Duoc to give guests a more genuine and less rushed experience.

The visit is a little fast, but you still get to hear a lot of stories and really feel the atmosphere of the place. The biggest highlight was our guide, Jack. He’s a teacher and historian, and his family history and own military experience made everything feel much more real and personal. The site can be busy, but our small group made the experience much better. Kero was the best tour guide, so knowledgeable, dynamic and kind. He took very lovely pictures of us and gave enough time for each of the experiences. The only thing I could advise to the company it'd be to give more time on the boat ride beceuse it was the best part, truly lovely and calm, so I wish it lasted longer. We booked a private Mekong Delta tour with Joy Journeys for two families, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip to Vietnam. What we loved most was that it didn’t feel touristy at all. Instead of just following the typical tourist route, we had lots of little adventures, explored local places, saw how people really live, and experienced the Mekong in a much more authentic way. We had so many fun and unexpected moments along the way, and with two families and children, the private tour was absolutely the right choice. Everything felt relaxed and flexible, and we could enjoy the day at our own pace. A special thank you to Kero, who made the whole experience even better. He was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and really made sure we had a great time.
