Description

  • We always care for our client’s experience. All of our tours have a small group with maximum of 10 guests visiting Cu Chi Tunnels. Our group will spend most of the time at Ben Duoc Tunnels which is well-known as the less-crowded, less-busy, and more authentic experience time in Cu Chi.
  • Our tour offers a unique opportunity to witness the war history of Vietnam by exploring the underground Cu Chi Tunnels. You’ll have the chance to see the booby traps used during the war and explore the ex-US Army tank from the Vietnam War by touching it.
  • Additionally, you’ll be able to crawl inside the tunnels of Cu Chi and taste the locally grown Viet Cong food, tapioca, next to the tunnels. Finally, you’ll witness the propaganda of Viet Cong soldiers in Tan Phu Trung Ward and experience the underground Hoang Cam kitchen.
  • The highlight of the tour is when you can experience crawling into the Tunnels to feel what it was like during the war.

What we’ll do:

  • Get picked-up at your accommodation, drive to Cu Chi – Ben Duoc Tunnels, and stop at a handicraft workshop for a break.
  • Upon arrival, watch a documentary propaganda film to have the insight into the background of the Cu Chi war zone.
  • Discover specially constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms, storages, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers, helping whoever lived inside Cu Chi tunnels meet their basic needs.
  • Discover many hidden left behind trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels and learn more about the handmade weapons and traps used during the Vietnam War.
  • Highlight of the trip is to crawl and experience the underground town of Cu Chi Tunnels. This is the best part of the trip when you actually crawl into it to feel what it was like in the war. Guests with claustrophobia are afraid of crawling inside the tunnels; you can still see it from above the ground.
  • Taste pandan tea and tapioca (guerilla’s war food) during wartime.
  • Break at the shooting range to shoot some real guns with Ak47, M16, M30, and M60 (shooting fee is paid separately). Then head back to Saigon.

Cancellation Policy

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 48 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 48 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 48 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Ben Duoc tunnel complex

The Cu Chi Tunnels, located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, were an extensive network of underground tunnels that served as a critical strategic location during the Vietnam War. Constructed over several years, the tunnels spanned more than 250 kilometers and were made up of multiple layers, including living quarters, kitchens, meeting rooms, hospitals, and even schools.

The tunnels were dug by hand, using rudimentary tools such as shovels, hoes, and picks, and the workers would remove the soil from the tunnels and conceal it in nearby fields to avoid detection. Navigating through the Cu Chi Tunnels was a complex task, requiring specialized knowledge and training. The tunnels were narrow, with a height of only a few feet, and were often filled with traps and obstacles, such as spike pits and hidden doors. The Viet Cong soldiers were trained to move silently and quickly through the tunnels, using their knowledge of the terrain to avoid detection.

The tour will ends back to your Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Traveler who wish to be dropped off near the airport, please inform us anytime possible.

FAQ

What size are the groups?

These are small-group tours with a maximum of 10 guests, ensuring a more personalized and intimate experience

Can I crawl into the tunnels if claustrophobic or larger-sized?

Yes – Ben Duoc’s sections are narrower and more authentic, but tourists can still observe from above if they don’t want to crawl.  Many reviews note that even taller or bigger visitors can navigate the widened tourist tunnels, though those with claustrophobia may prefer to skip deeper parts

What’s the difference between Ben Duoc and Ben Dinh?

Ben Duoc is the original and more authentic site, with fewer tourists and a more peaceful atmosphere.

Ben Dinh is more commercial and often overcrowded with big tour groups. Saigon Vibes chooses Ben Duoc to give guests a more genuine and less rushed experience.

Is this tour suitable for kids or seniors?

Yes! The tour is family-friendly. Kids usually enjoy the stories and tunnels (with supervision), and seniors can opt out of crawling parts—there’s flexibility based on comfort.

Fun&Joy Tour was absolutely amazing. Our guide - Huy, was well-known about the place, customs and traditions, local life. Huy made our trip very comfortable and low-stress: he contacted us in advance and picked us on time. That was a real joy! We highly recommend a tour and Huy as a guide!

Absolutely worth it Absolutely worth it Really immersive experience and one of the best ways to understand the history of the Cu Chi tunnels. The visit is a little fast, but you still get to hear a lot of stories and really feel the atmosphere of the place. The biggest highlight was our guide, Jack. He’s a teacher and historian, and his family history and own military experience made everything feel much more real and personal. The site can be busy, but our small group made the experience much better. Perfect for anyone curious about Vietnamese history and okay with a bit of walking and some very tight tunnels haha.

Best experience in Mekong Delta This has been my favourite tour from Ho Chi Minh City. The experience was truly amazing and you get all that's said. Kero was the best tour guide, so knowledgeable, dynamic and kind. He took very lovely pictures of us and gave enough time for each of the experiences. The only thing I could advise to the company it'd be to give more time on the boat ride beceuse it was the best part, truly lovely and calm, so I wish it lasted longer. Other than that, please don't miss out on this opportunity.

Recommend Kero ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing private Mekong Delta experience with Joy Journeys! We booked a private Mekong Delta tour with Joy Journeys for two families, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip to Vietnam. What we loved most was that it didn’t feel touristy at all. Instead of just following the typical tourist route, we had lots of little adventures, explored local places, saw how people really live, and experienced the Mekong in a much more authentic way. We had so many fun and unexpected moments along the way, and with two families and children, the private tour was absolutely the right choice. Everything felt relaxed and flexible, and we could enjoy the day at our own pace. A special thank you to Kero, who made the whole experience even better. He was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and really made sure we had a great time. You could tell he genuinely cared about giving us a memorable experience rather than simply taking us from one tourist stop to another. If you’re looking for a Mekong Delta tour that feels authentic, adventurous and far away from the tourist crowds, we can highly recommend Joy Journeys and Kero. Definitely one of the experiences we’ll remember from Vietnam! 🇻🇳❤️

Great tour with Kero It was the best tour in Vietnam so far. The coconut garden, the lunch at the local family, the small boat. The scenery was great, and Kero guided through it all, creating memories that I will keep in my heart forever. The tour is very dynamic and engaging. Thank you Kero for your professionalism and passion, you literally made our day!
