Thank you to Nick, Ben, Liam and Tom for a memorable night shared with other tourists. All the food was delicious and we were taken to some very authentic areas/shops/restaurants to experience genuine Vietnamese food and drinks. They ensured I was well catered for given I have a shellfish allergy.
It was my first time on a scooter but I had full confidence in my guide Nick and he ensured I felt safe and comfortable at all times – I loved the experience of being in amongst the action and scooting through alleyways, it was a buzz.
Book this tour in it will not disappoint.
Ricky and Chu did our first day and experience in Vietnam, the best one! They were friendly and professionals, and explain us not only every course of the menu, but every site visited history.
Thank you Ricky and Chu, from Paula and Tina.
Had an amazing time on this tour yesterday. I can not recommend highly enough great
bunch of guys and great food
Greated by Ngoc. She was friendly and knowledgeable. Put me at ease even though it was only my second time being on a motor bike in the crazy Ho Chi Minh traffic. We met up with tow of her co-workers and their two clients and went to each food experience together. Started with coconut juice and com quat drinks which were flavorful and cold which hit the right spot. Next food spot was a park where we had Vietnamese papaya salad with dried beef jerky. It was different than Thai papaya salad I have enjoyed in the past, so it was nice to see how Vietnamese people flavor their food. Next up we went to a local food stop where I had my favorite dish the beef stew. The beef was tender and full of amazing spices. The chef and owner of the restaurant even showed us the raw ingredients she uses to make the stew. She uses the spices to make 30 kilograms of beef for the stew each day. Stop #4 was banh Xeo which is almost like French crepes but filled with shrimp, pork belly, bean sprouts and onions that you rap with salad, and different herbs like perilla leaf, Thai basil, mustard greens, mint and cilantro. Delicious and healthy. Stop #5 was banh mi sand which. The restaurant makes their baguettes fresh every day. Filled with pork belly, pork sausage, pate, and pickled vegetables and sliced cucumber. We then went to the flower market which was a cornucopia of beautiful colors and sents. There we sat down at a street restaurant to have Vietnamese pizza and ban bo la lot (minced beef wrapped in bettle leaf). desert was Vietnamese flan cake. I was stuffed with food and knowledge by the end of the food tour. The tour guides were responsive to our questions and any thing we needed such as requesting not to include pate in the banh mi as not everyone enjoys pate. I’m glad I went on the food tour to learn more about Vietnamese food and culture.
My wife and I booked this last minute and the tour company was wonderful. They responded quickly and set everything up in record time. We were picked up at our hotel by Trung and An, 2 very intelligent and friendly young men, and were on our way via scooter to our first of 9 stops. Trunk and A were excellent drivers and it was fun riding scooters around. The food was fantastic. Every food dish was authentic. We especially enjoyed to Beef Stew (Bó Kho).
We would highly recommend this tour and Trung and A would be excellent choices for tour guides.
