Amazing walking food tour !!
Kelly is THE best! We did the walking tour and she was prompt with her communication via WhatsApp and picked us up from the hotel by car. Her English is impeccable, her sense of humor delightful, and her enthusiasm impeccable. We had a tour group of only 5 which was great, allowed for quickly forming a connection with the other guests, and for being able to talk with Kelly. The food was incredible and was made even better by the info that Kelly provided. She led us through small alleyways, confidently across busy streets, and shared unique drinks. When the heavens opened and it poured inches, she adjusted the itinerary to allow us to stay dry snd continued to stuff our faces. Five Stars! Fun, Food, and Insider Knowledge
Highly recommend the Top Notch Scooter Tour! We had an absolute blast zipping around the city, taking in the sights, experiencing the local culture, and sampling some incredible street food along the way. Our guides, Andy and Daniel, were fantastic. They looked after us from start to finish, spoke excellent English, and shared so much knowledge, making the entire experience both fun and genuinely valuable. If you're visiting the city, I'd recommend doing this tour on your very first day. Not only do you get to see the sights and enjoy amazing food, but you also gain a real understanding of the local food culture. We learned what dishes to order, how to eat them properly, what ingredients to look out for, and where to find the best local eateries for the rest of our holiday. The tips and recommendations we picked up saved us time, helped us avoid tourist traps, and gave us the confidence to explore the local food scene like seasoned travellers. The perfect intro to Saigon!
We booked this food tour for our first day in Ho Chi Minh City and it was such an incredible experience! We got to eat like locals and discover the amazing flavours of Saigon, all while being guided by the loveliest guide Emma. She was so warm, welcoming and knowledgeable, making us feel comfortable from the moment we met. We also loved hearing all the interesting history and stories behind the places we visited, which made the experience even more special. Excellent Street Food Tour of Ho Chi Minh City
We had a fantastic street food tour with Emma Le, who was super friendly, fun, easy to get along with, and spoke superb English. Everything was well organised, with an on-time hotel pick-up and taxis included to and from the different locations. The food was excellent throughout, with a huge variety of dishes and some truly unique local spots we would never have found on our own. One of the highlights was visiting places tucked away in local districts, including a home where a mum cooks food using recipes and cooking traditions passed down through generations. We were particularly impressed by the attention to hygiene, with all venues carefully vetted and excellent food safety practices in place. Emma also gave us some brilliant recommendations for the rest of our stay in Ho Chi Minh City. Highly recommended! Absolutely fantastic trip. Enjoy the experience of being on a motorbike with experienced local drivers and then enjoy the Saigon food at the locals favourite food stops. Delicious Intro to Ho Chi Mihn City!
The walking food tour was certainly a highlight in our first day in Ho Chi Minh City. from the pick up at our in District one. Through the cab ride to the beginning of the tour in Districts three and ten, the 10 different foods at the seven stops, to the walking between food stops, our two tour guides, Kelly and Andy, were very informative, entertaining, and gave us a great “flavor“ for life in the city. The walking was on mostly level sidewalks along busy streets, but with some uneven concrete – these were, after all, city sidewalks – and very few stairs. The foods included steamed rice rolls, banana sticky rice, a beef and noodle stew, and sugarcane juice among other Vietnam foods. We even learned to wrap our own rice paper rolls! All were unique and very flavorful. Both Kelly and Andy were locals, and all seven of us in our tour group — four from Australia and three from USA — greatly appreciated their local knowledge and stories. Get to know Saigon and it’s delicious street food
This was a perfect tour. We were completely satisfied by the whole experience. There were only 7 people on the tour which was a good size group. Kelly and Andy were our guides and they looked after us all and showed us all a great time. Excellent excellent not to be missed
This was everything we wanted and more. Zipping through the streets on scooters, having avoided them as a pedestrian, was brilliant. Then the food - we tried so much that we would never have known about if left to our own devices - expertly explained and described by our guides Kelly, Mac, Mike, Kevin and Hoang. Totally well Matched for our party of five. They gave us an insight into Vietnamese life we would have missed had we not been on this tour. Loved our tour with Kelly, Mac, Lyn and Huy ! Each of them shared information - fantastic english! Lots of banter along the way. We all felt very safe with our drivers, and they looked out for us every step of the way. So much amazing local food - you will never go away hungry !!! I had the best time on this tour! Booked it super last-minute, and they were able to accommodate me for the evening tour. My tour guides were super friendly and attentive, and everything from pickup and drop off was seamless. The food was genuinely incredible and packed with so much flavor my jaw was genuinely on the floor with each stop. This was 5 hour tour that will have your stomach bursting by the end of it. Linh and Will were our tour guide, who were amazing! I had amazing conversations with both and they were so knowledgeable in the dishes that we were eating. The food itself was a great introduction to Vietnamese cuisine. We had a mixture of drinks, food and snacks. They were also accommodating to our dietary needs (I do not eat beef so they changed it to a pork dish). Safety was also a priority, Linh made me feel safe through the tour in a driving sense but also as a person. Although we started as strangers, I felt that we left as friends. Such a brilliant tour! Riding on the bikes was great fun and such a nice way to see the city at night like a local. We had 10 different courses, which was amazing and all street food you would never get to try otherwise. Our guides Ricky and team were so nice as well and made it a great experience! Brian and his entire team were fantastic hosts and tour guides! They were all very engaging, organized, patient, and lots of fun. They made sure we felt comfortable and safe on the motorbikes. And the food we had throughout our tour was plentiful and so delicious! We got to taste lots of food that we haven’t yet tried during our time in Saigon. Wir haben die Tour zu zweit gebucht, mit Mac und Kid als unsere Guides. Die beiden waren top und haben das ganze zu einer hervorragenden Erfahrung gemacht. Sie konnten zu jedem Gericht genau den Hintergrund und die Zutaten erklären,sodass man auch was gelernt hat. Alles was wir gegessen hatten war echt lecker und ich würde die Tour auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen
